Life is a Journey
In the United Methodist tradition, faith is discerned through many different pathways. John Wesley saw four primary ways
- scripture
- reason
- tradition
- experience.
Carl Jung once said...
Many of us have found that the religious faith we grew up with had lost it's salt. The flavor had gone out of it for us. Now we find ourselves walking away from faith that is all about destinations and certainty. We are discovering faith is a journey where answers are often individual and mystery is a friend.religion is the best defense against a religious experience
So we come together and celebrate this amazing, wonder-filled, mysterious life as pilgrims on a journey and we find that the journey itself is destination enough.
